Water Witches collaborates with many local artists and musicians, creating a kind of "art-cult" in the tradition of psychedelic rock. Their debut album, Feathers, will be released on vinyl early 2016.
Conjuring mojo from such far flung influences as Devendra Banhardt, Aphrodite’s Child, and Velvet Underground, their performances maintain both visual and sonic appeal. They are inspired by performances of all kinds, including ecstatic pagan rituals and charismatic religious ceremony. Often attaching thematic elements to their show, they create interactive experiences for their audience.
Local psych/baroque pop/toytown group Ravi/Lola opens the show, along with art rock/pop/jazz flavor of Sound Sweepers.
