We're releasing videos now. You may have seen The Max Holiday Interview last week, and now we've got another. Our first mini-documentary is about Trapo, an 18 year-old rapper from Madison, WI. He's probably pretty familiar to our audience: we interviewed him a year ago and he's appeared on our pages a couple more times. A lot has changed in a year, two EPs, many shows across the country and several big co-signs later, Trapo seems on the verge of stardom. And what a better time to release this then the day before his debut album, Shade Trees, dropping tomorrow, November 14th?
As an artist that is always trying new sounds and is truly all over the place musically, Trapo has been a hard read from the outside. For a kid that has seemed relatively mysterious through entering the public eye, this is a great look into exactly who he is and what drives him.
This 8 minute documentary was shot and edited by Niko Hagen, a Madison based videographer that has made waves with videos for Lucien Parker and Mic Kellogg, among other videos, and shows a lot of versatility with this project. The interview was conducted by Evan Froiland.
Go buy Shade Trees tomorrow.
