Chicago-based 'Whitney' is making some serious waves with their first two releases. The band is set to debut their full-length project with Secretly Canadian in June. In the meantime, the band is on an extensive tour throughout the US, drawing crowds from their few releases and word-of-mouth. The visual for 'Golden Days' was released last week. The track is a song about the process of hanging onto good memories, while chasing and hoping for more of them.
Fronted by Max Kakacek, formerly of Smith Westerns and Julien Ehrlich of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, the group fills the wholesome part of our souls with their melancholy lyrics and dream folk sound. This is music for every day. Take a listen and fall in love.
Be sure to catch these guys in Madison on May 19th at the Majestic. They will be opening for Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Check our events calendar for more details.
